Here’s the thing about leaving the mountains: you don’t realize how much they’ve been holding you until you’re gone. We left Himachal for Gurgaon — the land of glass towers, endless traffic, and people with places to be. And to our surprise, we loved it. We met brilliant people, learned a hundred things we didn’t know we needed, and figured out what we really wanted from life. But the more time we spent away, the more we felt it — the pull of home. The smell of pine after rain. The sound of a distant temple bell. The kind of silence you can actually hear. That’s where Himachalites began. With a little homesickness, a lot of gratitude, and the simple idea that Himachal deserves to be told in a way only locals can tell it.
